Taking responsibility for generating power may involve organising a sustainable energy system whereby the community is able to control the creation of as well as the consumption of it's own energy. It might be that regionally there are differences in what is "sustainable". How dependent are we on electricity as a source of energy? Is this necessary or are there other ways of generating power which allow people more freedom of choice and control over usage?
Is there another way of looking at power production and what we use power for? In order to live, what kind of power is required and how can the community fill in its own power needs?
